Summary of Theory

2014 Update
In 2014, Edmund Storms published a book called The Explanation of Low Energy Nuclear Reaction:
An Examination of the Relationship Between Observation and Explanation
. In this book he proposes that his "Hydroton" theory is the explanation of low-energy nuclear reactions. It is a fusion-based theory. He has not clarified whether this new explanation, like his earlier one, also "requires a leap of faith."

For anyone who is interested in explaining cold fusion, Here is a paper that has been submitted to the AIP Symposium Series.

This describes the experimental observations and logical consequences a theory must take into account. You can see the background to some of the comments I made during our discussions of various theories. We also suggest a mechanism that is consistent with these requirements, which I admit requires a leap of faith. Perhaps this idea can provide raw material for another interesting discussion.
