PRESIDENT CLINTON TO PARTICIPATE IN NATIONAL CLEAN ENERGY SUMMIT 2.0
Secretary of Labor Solis and Los Angeles Mayor Villaraigosa
Among National Leaders to Discuss Job Creation Through Clean Energy
 
Las Vegas United States Senate Majority Leader and Nevada Senator Harry Reid and Center for American Progress Action Fund President and CEO John Podesta announced additional leaders to take part in National Clean Energy Summit 2.0 on Monday, August 10th at the University of Nevada, Las VegasPresident Bill Clinton, United States Secretary of Labor Hilda L. Solis and Mayor of Los Angeles Antonio Villaraigosa join a highly respected group of Nevada and national leaders from government, labor and non-profit organizations including already announced participants, Vice President Al Gore and energy executive T. Boone Pickens. 
 
Summit 2.0 will continue the discussion created during last year's national summit, which was also held in Las Vegas. This year's focus: jobs. According to a study by the Center for American Progress and University of Massachusetts, the combination of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act and the energy bill being considered in Congress, can generate a net 1.7 million jobs in Nevada and nationwide.
