LENR Research |
The study of low energy nuclear reaction (LENR) research, historically referred to as cold fusion, is one of the most misunderstood subjects in science. LENR research falls within the field of condensed matter nuclear science. When it entered the public spotlight in 1989, the cold fusion controversy was the center of great drama, excitement and even outright hostility - unlike any other science story in recent memory.
Although many skeptical scientists, typically physicists, wrote the entire phenomenon off as pathological science in 1989, a persistent group of researchers including chemists, physicists and metallurgists recognized that a new phenomenon of nature had indeed been revealed by Martin Fleischmann and Stanley Pons at the University of Utah.
New Energy Times covers developments in the last 19 years of this confusing controversy and sheds light on the understandings and misunderstandings, falsehoods and facts, from the perspective of both the protagonists and antagonists.
