Low Energy Nuclear Reaction* Papers Published In Peer-Review Journals (March 2005)
Historically known as "cold fusion"

 

One of the myths that some people believe about cold fusion research is that there have been few (or no) papers published in peer-reviewed journals. 

In fact, many papers have been published, starting with the original cold fusion paper by Fleischmann, Pons, Anderson, Li, and Hawkins, "Calorimetry of the Palladium - Deuterium - Heavy Water System," which describes a table-top chemistry experiment wherein heavy water was electrolyzed using a palladium cathode. This paper was published in the Journal of Electroanalytical Chemistry, (287 (1990) 293, July 25, 1990).

Richard Oriani was the first to publish a paper which corroborated the Utah team's heat energy claims: "Calorimetric Measurements of Excess Power Output During the Cathodic Charging of Deuterium into Palladium," published in Fusion Technology, 1990, 18: p. 652.

In February 2005, I surveyed cold fusion researchers around the world to get an updated list on where their papers had been published. They reported 55 journals:
