ICCF-14 Workshop Transmutations Related to Low Energy Nuclear Reactions
Organized and Chaired by Professor George H. Miley of the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign
Where: ICCF- 14 Conference Hotel (Hyatt Regency on Capitol Hill)
When: Friday August 15 at 1:30 pm to 5:00 pm
Registration: Registration during ICCF-14 is required, but there is no fee for attendance
Description: The intent of this conference is to exchange technical information and insights on the emerging field of nuclear transmutations associate with LENRs. Transmutations have been observed under a wide variety of conditions (various loading techniques, including electrolytic, laser excitation, electric arcs and biological media, among others.). Hopefully, discussions will cover most of these situations, with the goal of identifying unifying aspects the fundamental reaction mechanism.
The workshop will be conducted in the Gordon Research Conference style with short presentations, plus panel and participant discussions. Presentations will not be published, but a brief summary of the discussions will be prepared for the conference proceedings.
Agenda
1:30--1:50 Introduction and Brief Overview of the Field
1:50--2:30 Short Presentations and Panel Discussion of Prior
Experiments
2:30--2:45 Break
2:45--3:25 Short Presentations and Panel Discussion of Theory
3:25--4:05 Panel Discussion of Key Issues for Experiments and Theory, and Future Directions
4:05--4:45 Panel Discussion of Scientific Implications and Potential
Commercial Applications
4:45--5:00 Discussion and Summary Remarks.
Suggestions and Participation:
Since this workshop is to be highly interactive, suggestions are welcome in advance for topics to be covered and for volunteers to make brief specific (few minute) presentations, and then participate on the corresponding panel.
Correspondence about the workshop should be directed to George H. Miley at ghmiley@uiuc.edu. The phone number is 1-217-333-3772.
